Susan Whitaker
Susan is the owner of Canyon
Spirit Yoga. Her
journey has taken her from
Louisiana to Micronesia to California, riding on
the magic carpet of yoga.
Susan has certifications from Kripalu and Integrative Yoga Therapy and
she
has studied with many teachers of many traditions. Her major influences
are
T.K.S. Desikachar and Donna Farhi, who emphasize the importance of
recognizing the individual within the yogic process. Susan believes
that
yoga is about health and healing, personal transformation, and recognizing
the joy of being alive. She feels privileged to provide a sacred
space for
yogis to gather. |

Paula Gregory
Paula received
her training and
certification from Canyon Spirit Yoga Center, under
the direction of Susan
Whitaker. Yoga has taught her to be fully present
in all things and find
joy in everyday tasks. Paula is influenced by T.K.V.
Desikachar who
teaches that yoga asanas can be designed to suit
each individual and are
enhanced by knowledge of the breath. Her classes
reflect this deep
attention and are slow and meditative.
Paula also holds certification in massage therapy,
is a Reiki practitioner,
and is an expert in skin care. |

Sue Bostick
Sue began yoga practice
over 30 years ago, studying in Louisiana and
continuing after moving to Guam and Hawaii.
She began teaching in Guam,
after finding no teachers available. She was also
a practitioner of Cloud
Hands Tai Chi for several years.
Sue has studied various yoga styles from Iyengar
to Vinyasa, with Judith
Lasater, Aadil, Kathleen Ing, Paul Grilley, and
Doug Swenson. She also
enriched her practice by learning about Yoga for
Osteoporosis at Ananda Yoga
School.

Kelly Carpenter
Kelly received her teacher training at Canyon Spirit in 2003. Since then, she has continued to hone her skills as a teacher through study with Paul Grilley and others. Kelly believes that a physical practice grows to a spiritual practice, which in turn allows you to find your voice and live from your heart. She knows that through time, practice and dedication, yoga can truly change your life. |
