Susan Whitaker
Susan is the owner of Canyon
Spirit Yoga. Her
journey has taken her from
Louisiana to Micronesia to California, riding on
the magic carpet of yoga.
Susan has certifications from Kripalu and Integrative Yoga Therapy and
she
has studied with many teachers of many traditions. Her major influences
are
T.K.S. Desikachar and Donna Farhi, who emphasize the importance of
recognizing the individual within the yogic process. Susan believes
that
yoga is about health and healing, personal transformation, and recognizing
the joy of being alive. She feels privileged to provide a sacred
space for
yogis to gather. |

Rene Rainbolt
Rene incorporates both
Yin and Vinyasa style yoga. Her teaching
is a
reflection of many years of study and practice in a variety of styles,
including certifications from Doug Swenson and Canyon Spirit Yoga Center.
Rene has 23 years of commitment to meditation and spiritual growth and
is a
massage therapist as well as a thoughtful, inspiring teacher. She
focuses
on breath, alignment, meditation and strength. |

Amy Crelly
Amy Crelly received her 200-hour yoga teaching certification at Canyon Spirit. Her somewhat slower, deliberate style of vinyasa flow is influenced by the Viniyoga tradition, as well as many joyful hours spent learning at play with Susan and Rene. She has continued learning through Canyon Spirit workshops and classes with master teachers like Paul Grilley, Doug Swenson, Mirka Kraftsow, Baxter Bell, and Mr. T.K.V. Desikachar, and from her wonderful, wonderful students! Amy loves yoga and loves teaching yoga. Her classes almost always include a little sweating, a lot of fun, and a blissful guided relaxation. |

Cathy Mikles, RYT
Cathy has been practicing
yoga for over 20 years and is
a certified Relax and Renew Trainer for Restorative
Yoga with Judith Lasater
and a certified "Light of Life" Longevity exercise
trainer. She has a deep
admiration for yoga's profound ability to transform
and empower. Cathy
blends her experience, knowledge and passion for
yoga into creative classes
that are fun and light-hearted. Her style
of fusing different types of yoga
results in new and rewarding yoga experiences. |

Kelly Carpenter
Kelly received her teacher training at Canyon Spirit in 2003. Since then, she has continued to hone her skills as a teacher through study with Paul Grilley and others. Kelly believes that a physical practice grows to a spiritual practice, which in turn allows you to find your voice and live from your heart. She knows that through time, practice and dedication, yoga can truly change your life. |

Deb Huryn
Deb has been studying yoga since 2004 and became certified to teach Prenatal Yoga in June 2008. She offers a gentle prenatal practice that supports women in any stage of their pregnancy. Her practice is a safe, nurturing sequence of poses that require no previous yoga experience. Through her own three pregnancies, Deb has gained a deep understanding of how yoga benefits a woman's body, especially during pregnancy. |

Margie Antunes, RYT ~ Yoga, Yoga-Pilates
Margie has been a dedicated yoga practitioner for many years. The foundation of her practice is based on the tradition of Iyengar, Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga. She obtained her teaching certificate from Yoga Programs Teacher Training School in Northern California studying with faculty that includes Anne O'brien, Tony Briggs, Patricia Sullivan, Richard Miller and Nischala Joy Devi. As well, Margie has studied with Sarah Powers, Paul Grilley, Shiva Rea and other yoga masters. Margie's teaching style blends elements of her studies in several yoga styles and her background in pilates and dance bringing a sense of grace to her yoga practice. Her enthusiasm, dedication and true devotion to yoga shine through to offer students a nourishing and fun experience |

Jessica Faith
Sat Nam and Namaste! Jessica Faith Jagat Pal Kaur has been practicing yoga and the art of union for well over 7 years. She has fallen in love with the power of Kundalini Yoga repeatedly for the past 3 years. Jessica Faith graduated from Shuniaa's first Level 1 Aquarian Teacher's Certificate program in January of 2010, and was gratefully blessed to be the pupil of some the worlds most renowned Kundalini yoga masters. She is a member of IKYTA and so excited to share this ancient technology for transformation and awakening! In her Kundalini Yoga class, you will learn to use the tools of Kundalini yoga; breath, sound, meditation, and movement, to exhilarate and enliven all parts of your True Nature!
